Challenge
OX was ordered for their Factory to Foundation concept to haul and position a new turbine set from Germany to Denmark. The challenge was a bridge in Germany we were not allowed to pass and to get the mobile crane on it’s spot in Denmark, as shown in the engineering picture.
Solution
OX’s scope consisted of local transport in Germany, reloading by floating crane, shipping Hamburg to Frederiksvaerk in Denmark, reloading on rollers and haul to final location at Helsingor Denmark. Unload and slide the turbine inside the newly built plant and position the turbine. The turbine weighed 96tons, the generator weighed 49tons and another six FTL’s were handled.
